Hi, I'm Christine! I am an Speech Language Pathologist with over 15 years of experience working with children and their families through in person and virtual sessions. I hold a Master's Degree in Communications Disorders. My college was located in New York, so I have also completed student teaching and held a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped certificate before moving to Virginia. I maintain my certifications and licenses by completed continuing education in areas including executive functioning, phonological awareness, language disorders, and articulation disorders. One of my continuing education courses I've completed was the comprehensive Orton Gillingham training, which is a explicit, multisensory, structured, and sequential program designed to teach reading, spelling, and writing.
I aim to keep my sessions interactive and engaging for my clients. I get to know each of my clients and try to include personal interests in our sessions to make them more interesting and motivating. Additionally, I value family participation, supported through communication and materials for home practice. I mold my supports and communication style based on each family's preferences and needs. I am available for in person tutoring in my area, as well as virtual sessions both in and outside my immediate area. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions or to schedule a session!
