Hello! I'm Christin. I graduated with high distinction with an M.A in Professional Writing from Liberty University. I also graduated with dean's distinction with a B.A in History from Eastern Connecticut State University. I have nearly ten years of experience tutoring students in grades K-12 as well as college (including the graduate level). I also have two years of experience as a K-12 substitute teacher. I have tutored in multiple subjects including history/social studies, science, reading, language arts/writing, and ESL. I most recently worked for a university writing center as a tutor for graduate students, and I specialize in tutoring in English and writing for all grade levels. I also have experience working with students with special needs, including learning challenges such as dyslexia and ADHD.
I have a warm, compassionate tutoring style and I strive to make the tutoring experience fun and enjoyable for each of my students. I customize my lessons for every student based on individual learning styles and needs. I typically incorporate lesson plans into my tutoring sessions and ensure that adequate time is left for practicing the skills the student is learning. I can also provide homework assistance. I become personally invested in achieving success for each student I work with.
