Bio

I am a professional in Product and Interior Design and a Spanish Language educator. I graduated from the Universidad de Valparaiso in Chile. With over 15 years of experience in international corporate and residential interior design, I have had the privilege of working with two of the best design companies in Chile.

I am a professional in Product and Interior Design and a Spanish Language educator. I graduated from the Universidad de Valparaiso in Chile. With over 15 years of experience in international corporate and residential interior design, I have had the privilege of working with two of the best design companies in Chile.

As an entrepreneur, designer, and educator, I have taught AutoCAD at the Interior Design faculty at "UDD" Santiago. I also completed a three-year program in Hispanic leadership at Princeton Theological Seminary and have 10 years of experience teaching Spanish language and culture at a private high and elementary school in North NJ. My extensive travels throughout Spain and Latin America enrich my classes with real-life experiences and authentic cultural material.

I have taught Spanish at all levels for eight years, tutoring various age groups and corporations. My personalized approach has led to significant improvements in students' grades and skills. I effectively prepare students for the SAT Subject Test in Spanish, Spanish with Listening, and professional Praxis and OPI tests, achieving superior results.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have a certification in AutoCAD and have been an active user for over eight years. I am proficient in MS Project, Photoshop, Creative Suite, SketchUp Pro, and am becoming proficient in Revit and other software. I have five years of university-level drawing classes, covering artistic and technical drawing, realistic sketches, and more. I have also tutored companies, providing custom-made guides and examples.

I offer general computer and MS Office training, helping corporations transition to newer programs for increased productivity and collaboration. I am dedicated to designing customized courses to meet my clients' needs and am open to negotiating group rates for businesses.

I had a long experience with the former Architectural main software from AutoDesk, which was AutoCAD-Architecture. Studing Revit from the beginning, I realized that many concepts, although, using different menus, had a similar approach, then I had the opportunity to take the course "Architectural Commercial Design using Autodesk Revit" SDC, my experience helped me to advance quickly in its proficiency. Lastly I updated my skills with another course, more advanced, "Autodesk Revit Architecture BIM training". Revit is a giant software that has3 different areas of attention (Architecture, Structure and MEP) I have studies in Revit (the general software that is base and includes the 3 areas, and experience in the architectural and interior design field for my personal interest and area of work, I am also integrating Revit with other softwares, for better rendering and photo realistic representations.

I am an educated Native Spanish speaker from Chile, and Spanish language teacher. I taught Spanish for 10 years at the high school and elementary school level. I have tutored adults from basic to high proficiency, professional and conversational levels. I am trained in learning differentiation techniques and many other educational strategies. I have traveled throughout Spain and Latin America and I am able to provide the classes with real life experiences. I am convinced that all foreign language classes must include as much authentic cultural material as possible so that students may learn not just the language but its applications and meaning depending where they will travel or visit. This connection helps the student to learn and connect with another culture and learn the differences between them as well.

Very knowledgable, organized, and very patient

Since the CAD program is quite extensive and you need much practice in order to really understand it, Claudia has made it simple to grasp because she is quite patient (teaching her students according to their specific needs), which is quite essential for productive learning. She is also very organized (providing you with a step by step printed format of a list of things you will be practicing during each session (from simple to advanced). I have a long way to go before I can comfortably work with this program, but I have no doubt in my mind I will get there sooner rather than later with Claudia's help! I look forward to every session with her, which is quite motivating :)
