As a university Professor of Spanish, I quickly adapt to a student's strengths and weaknesses in Spanish and/or other studied languages.

I have been teaching Spanish to PreK through adult students for the past 33 years. I am a certified Spanish teacher in the State of Virginia with a degree in Spanish from Mary Baldwin College and a Master's degree in Spanish language and culture from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain.

My passion is traveling through Central America, South America and Spain, using my Spanish and living like a local. My approach is relaxed and practical and my true strength is establishing comfortable chemistry with my students.

I am an outstanding ESL/EFL/ESOL tutor because I have lived the life of a non-native speaker of a language and I understand and appreciate those daily struggles. I enjoy working one on one with my students.

I have a direct, but practical approach to language learning and do so with a variety of memory aids and learning/memorizing tools. I create a relaxed atmosphere where my students are not timid about speaking and from here, the fun and successes begin!

Excellent and very professional instructor.

Kristi helped me review the elementary Spanish that I knew with an emphasis on verb tenses. She is a professional teacher of Spanish with considerable experience traveling in Spanish speaking countries. Every minute of the hour was used efficiently. I was grateful for her patience and excellent instructional technique.

Fabulous Tutor

Ms. Kristi has been a wonderful tutor for my 13 year old daughter. She is very engaging and has really connected with my daughter. She utilizes everything in her toolbox to figure out what works best for the student, including worksheets, flashcards, quizlet, powerpoints, and the iPad. Her hourly rate is reasonable and affordable. I really could not be happier!
