I bring more than 25 years of information technology experience and over 15 years of cybersecurity leadership to my teaching. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Saint Leo University, graduating summa cum laude with a 3.97 GPA. My credentials include CISSP, CCNP, CompTIA A+, and CAP/CGRC. My career spans private-sector systems engineering and leadership roles with the U.S. Army, Department of the Interior, and Department of the Air Force, giving me a practical foundation for helping students connect technical concepts with professional applications.
My instructional experience began in the early 2000s, when I provided training on the Windows, computer networking, and Microsoft Office products. Later, I trained and supervised information security personnel, led technical teams, and presented complex cybersecurity topics to senior leaders. These responsibilities have strengthened my ability to explain technical material, adapt explanations to different audiences, and connect individual tasks to broader systems and mission objectives.
My tutoring focuses on Computer Science foundations, Windows and Active Directory, Computer Networking and Cisco/CCNA concepts, Cybersecurity, and Certification Preparation aligned with my expertise. For one-on-one and remote lessons, my approach is to establish the student’s goals, identify gaps in understanding, and work through practical examples at an appropriate pace. Whether a student is strengthening foundational knowledge, working through coursework, or preparing for an exam, my goal is to build understanding, confidence, and independent problem-solving skills—not simply memorization.
