I earned a 519 MCAT score (96th percentile), including a 130 in CARS (98th percentile), on my first attempt, and I have over three years of experience tutoring STEM subjects, with more recent experience focused specifically on MCAT preparation. Preparing for the MCAT without a traditional STEM background required me to be highly intentional about how I learned and integrated complex science material, an experience that strongly informs how I now teach. My tutoring has primarily been one-on-one, working with college students, post-baccalaureate students, and non-traditional applicants preparing for the exam. This background allows me to support students in strengthening foundational science concepts while also developing effective passage-based reasoning and test-taking strategies.
Before focusing on MCAT tutoring, I worked as a strategy consultant, where I developed a rigorous, structured approach to problem-solving and planning. I apply this same strategic rigor to helping students design efficient, personalized study plans, track progress, and refine their approach over time. I have helped many students customize study plans that align with their schedules, learning styles, and academic backgrounds, and I provide organizational tools and resources, including an Excel-based tracking system I developed to help students monitor content review, practice progress, and areas for improvement.
I view MCAT preparation as an opportunity to help students develop the study skills and confidence they will rely on throughout medical school. My goal is to support students in becoming more independent and intentional learners by equipping them with clear strategies, structured tools, and a sustainable approach to studying that they can carry forward beyond the exam.
