I’m a working marketing strategist and fractional CMO who has spent the last decade building and growing consumer brands, especially in CPG, ecommerce, and digital. Most of my day-to-day work lives in the real world of brand positioning, funnel design, email and SMS, social media, and CRO, so what I teach is grounded in what actually works—not just what a textbook says should work. My background includes formal study in business and marketing plus years of leading campaigns, managing P&Ls, and guiding cross-functional teams, which gives me a wide-angle view that’s really helpful for students trying to connect the dots between theory and practice.

Teaching and mentoring has always been a big part of my role. I’ve trained and coached junior marketers, interns, and cross-functional teammates in one-on-one and small-group settings, helping them understand everything from marketing fundamentals to channel-specific strategies. I’ve worked with a mix of college students, early-career professionals, and small business owners who are trying to make sense of branding, content, paid social, email, and analytics. My style is very conversational and approachable—I’m fun and easy to talk to, and I encourage questions, “dumb” or otherwise, because that’s usually where the real learning happens.

In our sessions, I start by understanding your goals: passing a class, breaking into marketing as a career, or growing a real business. Then we build from your current level, using plain language, real examples, and live breakdowns of campaigns, landing pages, and brands you already know. I like to take big, intimidating ideas—funnels, positioning, customer journeys—and turn them into simple, memorable frameworks you can actually use. You’ll walk away with clarity, confidence, and practical next steps, whether that’s for your homework, your job, or your own brand.

I’ve spent more than a decade building and leading marketing teams across CPG, ecommerce, and digital, which has given me deep experience mentoring professionals at every stage of their career. I’ve coached interns, junior marketers, and mid-level managers on skill development, interviewing, portfolio building, and positioning themselves for advancement. My background as a fractional CMO and brand strategist allows me to teach both the practical skills and the mindset needed to grow in fast-moving industries. I focus on giving students clear, actionable guidance they can use immediately in their academic, internship, or early-career journey.

I have over a decade of hands-on experience leading marketing strategy, brand development, and digital growth for consumer brands across CPG, ecommerce, and wellness. My work spans everything from branding and funnel design to content strategy, email/SMS, paid social, and conversion optimization, giving me a deep understanding of how modern marketing actually works in practice. I’ve trained and mentored interns, junior marketers, and cross-functional teams, helping them build skills, confidence, and fluency in real-world marketing tools. I teach marketing in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way that connects classroom concepts to current industry practices and trends.

Project Management

I’ve managed complex cross-functional projects for over a decade across marketing, ecommerce, CPG, creative, and operational environments. My experience includes overseeing product launches, multi-channel marketing campaigns, packaging transitions, vendor coordination, and full organizational workflows from concept through execution. I’ve trained teams on project planning, prioritization, communication, and systems like Asana, ClickUp, Trello, Monday, and Smartsheet. I’ve spent my career presenting to audiences of all sizes, from large conferences and trade shows to boardrooms, investor groups, and internal teams. My background in marketing and brand leadership has required clear, compelling communication under pressure, often translating complex ideas into engaging presentations.
