I have a Ph.D. in Archaeology and Anthropology from Stanford University and a B.A. in Art History and Archaeology. I have a Ph.D. in Archaeology and Anthropology from Stanford University and a B.A. in Art History and Archaeology. My studies gave me a deep appreciation for how people make sense of the past—and for how strong writing and critical thinking can bring history to life. Over the years, I’ve developed a real passion for helping students build confidence as writers and thinkers while learning to see history not as a list of facts, but as a series of stories and questions about human experience.

I’ve been teaching for more than ten years, working with students from middle school through college. Right now, I teach Western Civilization, Global Affairs, and Latin at the secondary level, where I design engaging, discussion-based lessons that encourage students to ask big questions and make meaningful connections. I also have extensive experience working one-on-one with students, helping them strengthen their essays, sharpen their arguments, and feel more comfortable expressing ideas in writing or conversation.

In my tutoring, I focus on curiosity and growth. I love helping students develop strategies that make challenging material feel approachable—whether it’s analyzing a primary source, breaking down a complex essay prompt, or tackling tricky Latin grammar. My goal is always to create a supportive space where students can think deeply, communicate clearly, and feel proud of how far they’ve come.
