Hi! My name is Sabrina, and I graduated from the University of Virginia (UVA) with a B.A. in Global Public Health. I am currently a fourth-year M.D. student at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
At UVA, I graduated with a 3.95 GPA (Science GPA: 3.98), was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa (top 10% of the graduating class), received scholarship support, earned multiple Dean's List honors, and maintained strong academic performance throughout my pre-med and major coursework.
During college, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and Pre-Health Advisor and was invited to become a Writing Center Tutor because of my writing and communication skills. I have been tutoring students since high school (shoutout to Panera and my local library!).
I tutor science, math, and English and enjoy working with students of all ages. I try to treat each student like a friend while balancing mentorship. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to each individual's needs. My goal is not only to improve grades and test scores, but also to build confidence, strengthen critical thinking, and help students take pride in their hard work.
For students pursuing medicine, I am a Peer Clerkship Mentor at my school. I offer guidance with personal statement editing, proofreading, secondary essay editing and outlining, activity descriptions, interview preparation, and general admissions advice. I also provide guidance on USMLE Step 1 preparation (Pass), clerkship success strategies, study planning, and navigating the clinical years [Honors include Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and more if you wanna discuss any specific rotations!] I am currently awaiting my USMLE Step 2 CK score.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy playing tennis, chess, and being an auntie to my sister's dachshund. Above all, I genuinely enjoy helping others succeed and would love to be a part of your academic journey!
