I've spent more than 30 years helping young people learn, grow, and achieve their goals. I'm a former Kaplan Test Prep Master Instructor, a long-time leader in Scouting America/Boy Scouts of America, and I've guided hundreds of students toward stronger skills, higher confidence, and real academic success.
I hold dual Bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science from Fordham University, a Master of Public Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY), and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
My teaching background is broad and practical: I've contributed to curriculum development for Kaplan Test Prep and Scouting America (including Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, and Citizenship in the Community Merit Badges). I've also served as a mentor and instructor for the Institute for Court Management, helping adult learners build professional expertise.
What this means for you: I know how to break down complex ideas, make learning feel manageable, and help students build the confidence they need to succeed-whether that's improving grades, mastering test prep, or strengthening study skills. I meet students where they are and help them get where they want to go.
