My name is Tammy B., and I have taught GED classes for more than 20 years. I have a master's in English Literature, but I enjoy teaching all GED subjects. I am passionate and enthusiastic, and I love seeing students reach their goals. I aim to make learning fun by using creative approaches to material when students are unable to grasp concepts the traditional way.
In addition to teaching GED, I have taught English Composition and Study Skills at the college level, and I served as the Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Center for four years. I have tutored students on many different levels and in many different subjects, from ages K - Adult, and I find my approach works especially well for those who are neurodivergent, have ADHD, or are visual/hands-on learners. If students lack confidence and/or good study skills, I aim to improve those in tandem with teaching the actual skill sets needed to pass the GED.
I have helped hundreds of learners earn a GED, and I plan to help hundreds more in the years to come. You will find that in addition to being patient and kind, I am very goal oriented and results driven. Your success is my success. Contact me to embark on a satisfying learning journey with a GED Certificate at the finish line.
