Hey, call me Kari. I have a Master of Arts in Arabic Language and Linguistics from Pennsylvania Western University with a 4.0/4.0 Grade Point Average (GPA). I also got my Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs when I was eighteen years old, taking lots of Arabic, Chinese, and Music classes.
I graduated high school at ten years old. I'm multilingual and I have over ten years of tutoring experience. I've taught a lot of different subjects throughout the years: usually Arabic, English or ESL, and Violin. I've taught in classrooms, libraries, online, one-on-one, small groups, and full classrooms. I've taught numerous students of different ages and backgrounds with diverse learning challenges and objectives.
I'm in training to be a medical interpreter in Arabic, and then I plan to do it again with Spanish. I love learning languages and musical instruments. I'm working on medical terminology in Arabic and I'm also starting to learn Chopin on the piano right now. I believe learning should be throughout all of life, and my love of learning has helped me develop methods of teaching languages and violin that teach students easier and faster ways to learn.
I've helped students who have been grades behind their age-group catch up in math and reading and become grades ahead instead of grades behind. I cherish these experiences. I believe that many schools don't customize the educational experience enough for each individual, and that's where I come in!
