Hi my name is Bryan and I love teaching and playing chess. I am a certified United States Chess Federation coach.I was the chess coach formy sons high school chess club with about 15 chess players. I played in Jr. high school and high school in local tournaments as well as state tournament. I won the 1984 Va State Scholastic tournament and still compete in rated tournaments with a current rating of about 1600.

I am a member of the United States chess federation with a current rating of 1600 and have been competing in tournaments for about 25-30 years. I competed in Scholastic city, state and national tournaments. I won't the 1984 Va scholastic chess tournament and placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in city tournaments against other scholastic teams. I currently am teaching about 50 students at my sons school in Suffolk va at Kings Fork High. I just competed in the va national chess day tournament in va beach and won first place in the open rated section.
