I am a dedicated and experienced educator with a Master's degree in Education, specializing in high-incidence disabilities. I am licensed in two states to teach special education, elementary education, and high school career and technical education. My passion lies in helping students of all ages overcome learning challenges and reach their full potential.
With hands-on experience as a high school softball and baseball coach, I understand the importance of building confidence, teamwork, and discipline-skills I bring into every tutoring session. I have successfully tutored students through Varsity Tutors and in-person during my undergraduate years, and I am a certified Brain Injury Specialist. This certification, combined with my deep knowledge of special education law and mentoring, allows me to provide individualized support tailored to each student's unique needs.
I have also collaborated with the Virginia Department of Education on statewide curriculum modifications, giving me valuable insight into effective instructional strategies and accommodations. My diverse background-including experience in carpentry-helps me connect with students who learn best through hands-on or practical approaches.
Whether your child needs support with foundational skills, executive functioning, test preparation, or navigating an IEP, I create a supportive, structured environment that builds both academic skills and self-confidence. I am flexible with scheduling and committed to helping every student succeed.
