I am a native Chinese speaker, earned my BA in English from China and MBA in Global Management from the US. I worked as an English to Chinese translator for 2 years. I volunteered as an interpreter in a cultural exchange program for the City of Austin. During graduate school, I was a Chinese tutor/language partner for a few of my classmates. They made big progress in their Chinese learning especially in speaking. Lessons can be tailored to fit each student's goal. Lessons will consist of learning, reviewing and problem solving sections.

Outstanding

Lesson was Skype format. Originally, I was hesitant about Skype lessons as I was not sure that I would be able to get a clear lesson online. But Tammy was well prepared. She had a couple of text books that she sent me through Skype. It turned out the level was perfect for me. We had technical problems (on my end) regarding Skype but she was very patient about working through all that. Highly recommend this tutor. I believe my Mandarin has improved dramatically in just one hour with her. She was also able to correct my writing, and give me pointers on my handwriting. Looking forward to next lesson.

Confident, patient, and flexible tutor

Tammy is very patient and accommodating to our tutoring needs. she works with my children ages 10,7, and 4 on their weekly Chinese assignments. She is flexible and willing to try different methods to get the most out of each session. she can think on her feet if she sees she's not fully reaching the younger student.
