Fluent in Arabic and French, I bring a multilingual approach to my teaching and have experience tutoring both languages in addition to English. This allows me to support students more effectively and explain language concepts in a clear and accessible way.
My lessons are personalized, well-structured, and focused on practical communication. I help students improve conversation skills, strengthen grammar, and gain confidence using language in real-life situations. I work with both adults and children and adapt my teaching to each student’s level and goals.

Arabic is my native language. I studied in Arabic from elementary school to my graduation from Law school in my home country. I also taught Law and Political Science in Arabic for three years at my home country's university. I recently volunteered to teach Arabic to one of my friends and classmates at Northern Virginia Community College. I am excited to help and benefit students from my knowledge of this wonderful language.

I renewed with English when I came to study here in the United States. As an international student, I had to take ESL classes before starting my major. I had the chance to have very talented and wonderful teachers who made it very easy for me to be more familiar with the language. I had very good grades which allowed me to succeed and to skip some classes. I passed my English 111 and I will be taking English 112 Honors class next Fall. So proud of myself! I will be honored to help students succeed the way I did.
French

French

I am a native French speaker with full proficiency in both spoken and written French. Living in Paris, France for nearly four years allowed me to further strengthen and refine my language skills through daily immersion, enhancing both my fluency and cultural understanding. I studied for my Master’s degree in Political Science in Paris, and later moved to the United States, where I worked as a French tutor at NOVA and independently through Wyzant. In these roles, I supported students at various levels in improving their speaking, writing, and comprehension skills. I am passionate about teaching French and committed to making learning engaging, effective, and enjoyable to help students gain real confidence, make measurable progress, and develop a genuine appreciation for the French language and culture.

Patient!!

I have now been tutoring with Hadjer for about a month. She is extremely patient and understanding. Arabic is a tough language to learn, but it is helpful to have someone there who can answer any question I have no matter the subject. We are always working on something new and she has a way of explaining how things work that is understandable and personable. She is very flexible when it comes to scheduling on the weekends which I like. We typically meet at the library where it is quiet and we can focus for the entire hour on any issues I am having in class or just in general with the concepts of the language. If you are in the Sterling area and want to brush up on, or learn Arabic I highly recommend Hadjer!!!

We worked on graduate school applications and went over grammar and syntax. In addition, we also discussed structure and flow of the answers. Hadjer is extremely detailed orientated and even suggested vocabularies that could help make my answers sound better.
