I believe that there is nothing more rewarding than making my students love to learn and being part of their success. I love teaching, and I find that helping my students to always do their best and go over their limits are the best path to accomplishment.
I was an assistant teacher at the University of Law and Political Sciences in Algeria. I spent three years in France studying for my Master's in Political Science while polishing my French language skills. I graduated with an Associates degree in International Studies from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), where I worked as an Arabic, French, and English tutor. I later obtained my TESOL certificate and currently work as an Adjunct ESL instructor at NOVA.
I am happy to have another opportunity at WyzAnt to help other students move forward and grateful to be part of this wonderful adventure of learning where I apply and share my passion and my skills.

Approved Subjects

Arabic

Arabic

Arabic is my native language. I studied in Arabic from elementary school to my graduation from Law school in my home country. I also taught Law and Political Science in Arabic for three years at my home country's university. I recently volunteered to teach Arabic to one of my friends and classmates at Northern Virginia Community College. I am excited to help and benefit students from my knowledge of this wonderful language.
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

I renewed with English when I came to study here in the United States. As an international student, I had to take ESL classes before starting my major. I had the chance to have very talented and wonderful teachers who made it very easy for me to be more familiar with the language. I had very good grades which allowed me to succeed and to skip some classes. I passed my English 111 and I will be taking English 112 Honors class next Fall. So proud of myself! I will be honored to help students succeed the way I did.
French

French

French is a wonderful language. The influence of my parents helped me learn French, so I was able to spell my name in French before I could do it in my native language! I lived in Paris, France for almost four years where I studied for my Masters degree in Political Science. I also gave free French lessons to high school students in my home country, and I worked as a French tutor for NOVA. I will be happy to benefit students from my expertise and make them fall in love with French!

Patient!!

I have now been tutoring with Hadjer for about a month. She is extremely patient and understanding. Arabic is a tough language to learn, but it is helpful to have someone there who can answer any question I have no matter the subject. We are always working on something new and she has a way of explaining how things work that is understandable and personable. She is very flexible when it comes to scheduling on the weekends which I like. We typically meet at the library where it is quiet and we can focus for the entire hour on any issues I am having in class or just in general with the concepts of the language. If you are in the Sterling area and want to brush up on, or learn Arabic I highly recommend Hadjer!!!

Awesome and great at explaining!

She helped me understand the passe compose completely and now I totally understand it. She’s really nice and goes over the material at a good pace, not too fast or slow. She’s a really, really good teacher!

Professional

Very responsive. Was able to make my 6 year old comfortable-not an easy task. Glad we found her and hope this will become a long term arrangement that works for everyone!

Great Tutor! Very Organized and Extremely Approachable!

We worked on graduate school applications and went over grammar and syntax. In addition, we also discussed structure and flow of the answers. Hadjer is extremely detailed orientated and even suggested vocabularies that could help make my answers sound better.

it was a great session, Hadjer was very helpful. She helped me understand my history assignment. I would work with her again for future help with my college work.

Kind and encouraging

We worked in a dialogue and she was very helpful and thorough, helping me to pronounce words and understanding meanings. She was on time and very willing to work on what was important to me.
