Hi, I'm Chloe. I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in electrochemical engineering, and Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering. After undergoing seven years of engineering education, I understand firsthand the impact a good tutor can have on your confidence, technical skills, and coursework performance. As a former student that often fell into the category of non-traditional learning and faced difficulties such as test anxiety, I'm passionate about working with you to develop methods to help you work through difficult and challenging topics.

In the course of my engineering education, I took a variety of courses spanning calculus, chemistry, physics, and coding. Over the course of laboratory and research work, I've spent years explaining difficult technical topics to team members, classmates, and researchers and developed a passion for it. Because of this experience, I am able to offer tutoring in engineering courses including statics, strength of materials, transport phenomena, fluid flow, and heat transfer. With these courses, I will help you to simplify difficult concepts and to build intuition rather than relying on memorization. For students who benefit from alternative learning methods, I strive to provide a personalized, judgment-free environment where we can work on building your skills in a manner specialized to your learning style and preferences. My goal across all types of learning styles is to make advanced engineering topics feel logical and intuitive, and to build your confidence.

I especially welcome students who feel overlooked by traditional teaching styles - my tutoring is collaborative: we'll work through examples, identify which concept breakdown methods work best for you, and develop a toolkit you can rely on after the session ends. Together, we'll turn complex challenges into manageable steps and success.

Approved Subjects

Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering

I completed my master's in chemical engineering in the spring of 2025. My coursework consisted of graduate-level thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and reaction engineering. My thesis work was in electrochemical reaction engineering, requiring daily application and communication of mathematical, scientific, and experimental design concepts learned in both graduate and undergraduate coursework.
Chemistry

Chemistry

Throughout my engineering education, I took courses spanning concepts from general chemistry to inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics/engineering. I have completed the highest level reaction engineering and thermodynamics courses required for a graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, and my thesis research focus was in reaction kinetics & engineering. Ultimately, I am passionate about making chemistry at all levels feel accessible, despite how intimidating course experiences can be.

Highly Recommended Chemistry Teacher

Chloe is an exceptionally patient and kind teacher who explains concepts in a clear and simple way, making it easy to develop a deep understanding of the subject. She has been incredibly helpful throughout my university chemistry courses. Her notes are always well organized, neat, and easy to revisit when studying, which makes a huge difference during exam preparation. oh and her practice materials are super helpful, matches my universities level, in which was hard for me to find siutable practice questions. Her teaching pace is excellent, not too slow and not too fast, allowing students to follow along comfortably while fully grasping the material. She is also consistently punctual and professional. Having taken lessons with different tutors for over five years, I have spent a significant amount of time searching for teachers who are both effective and engaging. Based on that experience I can confidently say that Chloe is one of the best tutors I have had. Her dedication, teaching style, and ability to make complex topics easy to understand truly set her apart. Overall I highly recommend Chloe to anyone looking for a supportive, reliable, and outstanding chemistry teacher.
