I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, where I have maintained a strong academic record with a 3.4 overall GPA and a 3.3 GPA in my major. My coursework includes advanced topics in mathematics (Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra), computer science (Python, C++, embedded systems), and physics (mechanics, electromagnetism, and wave propagation).
I have several years of experience tutoring students from elementary through high school, as well as mentoring peers at the university level. I served as an academic mentor within my fraternity, where I helped underclassmen with coursework in STEM subjects, study planning, and time management. In this role, I worked with students one-on-one and in small groups, helping them grasp difficult concepts by breaking them down into manageable steps and using real-life analogies where possible.
In addition to informal peer tutoring, I’ve worked as a teaching assistant in engineering labs, guiding students through technical concepts, coding assignments, and hardware projects. I’ve also volunteered at local schools, helping middle school students with algebra and general science.
My tutoring approach is student-centered: I focus on identifying a student's unique learning style, building confidence through foundational understanding, and encouraging critical thinking. I tailor lessons to each student's pace and provide interactive problem-solving practice to reinforce concepts. Whether it's helping a student improve grades or preparing for a standardized test, I prioritize making learning engaging, personalized, and effective.
