Hi, I'm Michael! I am currently a student at Cornell University studying Biological Sciences on a premed track. I have always enjoyed helping others learn, and one of the most rewarding experiences for me is watching a concept "click" after introducing a new perspective on a topic. Although my formal tutoring experience began back in high school, teaching has remained a major part of what I do. I currently work as a Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor where I teach students with a wide range of background and experience levels. As an instructor, I have been able to strengthen my ability to break down complex topics into simple steps while adapting my teaching style to each individual's needs.
Every student learns differently. Rather than simply providing an answer to a problem, I focus on helping students understand how and why concepts work so they may approach future problems with confidence. My goal is to make learning less intimidating and more engaging, which is why I like to walkthrough problems using visual explanations or using different methods a student may prefer. As a student myself, I understand how challenging coursework can be. I strive to create a supportive environment where students can be comfortable learning from their mistakes and build confidence at their own pace.
I welcome any resources or suggestions students, or parents, can provide. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or concerns you may have!
