Hello! My name is Logan, and I am a dedicated tutor with a strong passion for helping students build unshakeable foundations in math and computer science. I am a graduate of the Commonwealth Governors School of Virginia and currently maintain a 4.0 GPA. Recently, my academic work earned me admission into a Top 20 undergraduate program for Artificial Intelligence. Because I work with advanced computer science concepts daily, I know exactly what fundamental skills students need to succeed, and I specialize in making those basics incredibly easy to understand.
Over the past few years, I have gained extensive one-on-one tutoring experience, specializing in high school mathematics , as well as introductory programming in Python and Java. One of my proudest moments was working with a student in AP Computer Science Principles. By designing customized, step-by-step lesson plans that targeted fundamental concepts, I helped them turn their struggles into an 'A' in the course. I know that math and coding can feel overwhelming at first, which is why I focus on removing the frustration from learning.
My tutoring philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and approachability. I don't just want my students to memorize formulas or copy code; I want them to feel truly confident in their foundational skills. Whether we are tackling algebra homework, learning how to write our very first Python script, or breaking down high school math concepts, I tailor my approach to fit each student's unique learning style. I celebrate small victories and focus on building genuine confidence so that my students can tackle their classes with ease. I look forward to helping you or your student build a rock-solid foundation!
