My name is Alexander C. I'm an AmeriCorps alumni from the graduating class XI-B from 2015 in Baltimore, MD. My background in teaching involved rising K-5th graders in the inner city of Baltimore, MD on the subject of reading comprehension and art. I used innovative methods to account for the wide range of individual needs of my students due to almost all of them being children of poverty. This including adjusting my directives, comprehension breakdowns, and encouragement based on the personality type of the individual (no one size all fit approaches.) I have been teaching and coaching formally for about 2 years and informal since I was a teenager almost 20 years ago all as a volunteer or because of necessity.
