I'm Ben. I graduated from Grace College and Seminary with a degree in Elementary Education. I have taught for over 20 years in both private and public schools. I taught 2nd through 5th grade classrooms as well as K-12 computer instruction. When I was young I watched my teachers closely to see how they taught. I studied what worked and what didn't. I knew back then I wanted to be a teacher. My goal has always been to make life long learners. Learning should be fun.

As a teacher, I have taught students who came to my year of school, not liking school and changed them to life long learners who didn't want to stop learning at the end of the day. I always had time to tutor students to help them keep up with the class, changing the learning style to fit the student's learning preference. I hope to encourage children with my love of learning in tutoring as well. Being an elementary teacher I have taught in self contained classes where I taught each subject. I have also team taught and specialized in Math, Science and History. I love teaching writing and the writing process. I have two books published for young readers.
I am eager to help children become the best learners they can. I am easy to get a hold of and will gladly respond quickly. Feel free to contact me.
