I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College in May 2015 with my Associate's Degree in Business Administration. I am currently enrolled in the Old Dominion University Distance Learning program pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance. While at Dabney, I maintained a 3.94 GPA and was president of Student Senate and Phi Theta Kappa.

While pursuing my Bachelor's Degree at ODU, I am also tutoring 7 students through the Achievement Center and Library at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. I have been successful in getting my students B's and C's in Accounting 201 and 202, Econ 201 and 202, Intro to Stats, and Business Math. I have successfully tutored Accounting, Econ, Business Math, and Stats for the last two years. I have helped Business majors get through their classes and not only learn, but enjoy what they are learning.

Over the past two years, I have learned that instead of working for an Accounting firm or being a staff accountant, I want to teach. There is nothing better than seeing the light go on in someone's eyes when they "get it." I have decided to get my Master's Degree in Accounting and teach at a community college level.
