I’m Gina. I am a retired high school mathematics teacher with over 34 years of classroom experience and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Throughout my career, I taught all levels of high school mathematics, primarily Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry. I also taught Math Analysis/Trigonometry and Probability and Statistics for more than five years. While teaching I received Teacher of the Year and the Superintendent's Star Award which recognizes staff members nominated by peers for exceptional contributions to the school community and for making a significant impact.
I have experience teaching in honors, standard, and inclusion classrooms, and I take pride in helping students of all ability levels build confidence and achieve success. My students consistently performed well on state assessments, and I am skilled at breaking down complex mathematical concepts into clear, understandable steps.
In the three years prior to retirement, I served as a Math Specialist for my school division, where I collaborated with teachers to design engaging lessons, co-teach classes, and support effective instructional strategies.
After five years of retirement, I truly miss working with students and helping them grow academically. I look forward to partnering with students to strengthen their math skills, boost confidence, and achieve their goals.
