I hold a PhD in Anthropology with a research focus on primate ecology, along with a Master’s degree in Biology specializing in ecology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. This academic path has given me a strong interdisciplinary foundation, combining biological sciences with quantitative and analytical skills. My training allows me to tutor effectively in biology, ecology, anthropology, math, and computer science, helping students bridge conceptual understanding with practical applications in research and data analysis.
Since 2016, I have taught and assisted with college-level courses, including introductory biology labs, where I guided undergraduate students in mastering fundamental concepts, laboratory skills, and scientific communication. Beyond formal coursework, I have also mentored undergraduate students on research projects, helping them design studies, analyze data, and present their findings. These experiences have given me extensive practice supporting students one-on-one, in small groups, and in classroom settings, tailoring my teaching style to different needs and learning approaches.
Over nearly a decade of teaching and mentoring, I have worked with students at varying stages of their academic careers, from first-year undergraduates to advanced majors engaged in independent research. My teaching emphasizes clarity, step-by-step problem solving, and encouraging students to think critically while gaining confidence in their own abilities. By drawing on both my classroom teaching and hands-on research mentorship, I aim to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and perspective they need not only to succeed academically but also to appreciate the broader significance of the subjects they are studying.
