Greetings future leaders of America. If you are reading this it is for a reason. Well let me assure you I am here to positively encourage you in your area of need; whether it be in English and grammar, Biblical Old and New Testament, World History, U.S. History, U.S. Government, Political Science, Geography, Social Studies, Philosophy, Economics, Physics, Algebra or even entry level math, physical science, law, and public speaking skills.

I taught two years in a private high school here in Virginia Beach, VA and loved it. If you need a teacher who can directly relate to you on a one-to-one basis, meeting you where you are, not criticizing you, and have an open mind to learning in a new fashion, tailored just for you and at your pace of learning, then contact WyzAnt and request me as your tutor. I have in the past developed curriculum for each subject taught, tailoring several track levels within each class to meet the individual needs of each student's learning style. This entailed measuring each student's success on various levels to include, writings, written test, and or verbal tests to discover strengths and what areas need to be strengthened. This was all done in a positive encouraging environment at the speed the student and parent choose.

My philosophy is simple: You as the student are the future success of America in what ever capacity you choose to contribute to society. It is my job to teach you a foundation that will and can be implemented in every day life so that you are a success. As a teacher I get to reap the benefits of your success simply by you being successful. It is the law of reciprocity. I can not hang that on a wall to display.

I recently graduated from Regent University School of Government with a master of art in public policy, and a certificate of master studies in homeland security terrorism and defense. These studies were rich in philosophy, English Law, history both U.S. and foreign governmental foundations. These subjects were also deeply rooted in the foundation of United St

American History

American History

I am a former public school U.S. History, World History, US government teacher as well as hold degrees in related fields. I do not teach dates but the excitement of what occurred to make us America and how the Experiment continues and how important it is for us as citizens to ensure it’s security. I’ve always challenged my students to take a personal interest in their heritage and engage in current issues that effect it. I’ve taken my students to both the State Department, Holocaust Museum, Congress while in Session and even had them lobby for change. I teach them to have a voice so that maybe mistakes of the past won’t be repeated. I shy away from politics or matters of social issues.
Bible Studies

Bible Studies

I attended Christian school in 4th grade taking at least on class in religion each year. At Liberty University I decided to take Old Testament Life and Literature, New Testament advance studies, Theology 1 and Theology II, Apologetics, and several youth ministry classes as my intent was to become a youth pastor. Then more recently I took Christian Foundations in undergrad and the following courses on a masters level: Christian Foundations of Government, Apologetics and Biblical Law. and Biblical Ethic. My own personal study has led me to a deep understanding of the Bible both historically, as well as spiritually. I have extensive knowledge of the characters of the Bible, who wrote what book, when it was written, and even why. In the past I have used several search methods to conduct verse studies using a concordance as a cross referencing tool to either create evidence of truth.
Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice

I have been an arson and private investigator for the past eighteen years rising to the rank of principal detective. This inadvertently means that I am experienced enough to own and operate my own forensic engineering firm that expertly investigates numerous cases on any level requested. I have personally been called to testify as an expert consultant witness on a lot of cases. This required skills in several criminal justice fields: 1. evidence gathering, 2. performing interviews, 3. protecting a crime scene, 4. performing forensic testing, 5. performing any necessary testing on and off sight, 6. ballistics testing, 7. preparing reports, 8. back ground checks, 9. computer forensics, 10. analyzing given information against truth, 11. presenting reports for court proceeding, 12. defending facts and findings in a court room to the jury. 13. identifying necessary appeal to court decisions that may need new facts given or evaluation of evidence to possibly convict or exonerate a client.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I understand children and how they think. I taught many children informally (meaning I did not go through any formal training or get paid to do so) phonics, reading, listening skills, math, science, English, as well as proper grammar, and writing. I was the neighborhood and family "teen teacher". My experience is that children at elementary age need to learn in a manner that allows him/her to learn from their perspective and understanding. A teacher should teach from the level the student is at and then bring the student into a higher level at the pace the student learns. This entails patience which a lot of teachers are unable to take as the size of the class does not allow. I am an advocate for teaching students one on one or in very small group of their peers. This enables the student to express oneself in a safe nonjudgmental environment while allowing them to develop at his/her own pace. I believe the traditional school system has failed miserably at developing competent young adults and should be seriously overhauled without Federal involvement.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

This is a subject dear to my heart. I remember the first time I was asked to give a speech in middle school. Yuck could only describe what was happening in my stomach. Words could not describe what was happening mentally. All types of questions arose. By the time I got to college I had not been prepared to be in front of anyone speaking let alone a group of colleagues. But God gave me a unique voice that demanded attention and I began to notice how many people were actually listening to what I had to say. That changed everything. I could be heard and with little effort! Wow what a concept. If you hear me speak you will know immediately what I mean. So I was determined to refine my ability to speak so that I at least sounded as if I was knowledgeable. I have spoken to one person up to large groups of thousands without hesitating. I have spoken on subjects from politics, religion to self help. Yes, I have preached also even though I am not a preacher. There have been times that I prepared a speech and right before giving it, I felt in my heart that the subject had to be changed. Now that is frightening. I can teach the meekest and most soft spoken of all students how to be heard and speak with authority. There is a process of steps that all public speakers should take no matter who they are speaking to. I will teach you simply what to and not to say, phrases to avoid. When to tell a joke and when to be completely serious.
Religion

Religion

Religion is my life. I have studied religion on various levels from Christianity to Islam comparing and contrasting. One of my masters is in Homeland Security Defense and Terrorism. In that course of study I was required to take three classes dealing with different levels of religion: 1. Biblical Law (this course was centered on the foundation of religion) 2. Quranic Law and 3. Apologetics. I have a deep understanding of many religions from a foundation point of view. I want to relay to you as a student the importance of understanding your own religion as well as others, whether they are perceived to be right or wrong by world standards. There is a sense of self worth when knowing and acting by truth. Religion is simply put who we are in this world and where we are going afterwords. Is it created by man? Or is it determined through a divinity? How did we get here? Why are we here? What is our purpose? And even more pressing, where the heck are we going when we die? Where is the proof? And under what or whose authority can I answer these questions?
Social Studies

Social Studies

I taught social studies with and extensive concentration on sociology grades 9-12 in a private school setting. There I developed my own curriculum for each student to meet his/her learning speed. This required to develop means of testing adaptable to each student's skill. I also hold two masters in the discipline of government. How does this transfer to you the student? Well simply put, I have a command understanding of why we need to understand our world, its societies, the people within those societies, their culture from past to present. You as the student may have a very grim look of anything involving history. Usually this is due to facts and often dates being thrown at you with little or no explanation as to why they are relevant to today's society. Sociology and Social Studies are not just about memorizing the events, people's names or location but rather how all of them effected where we are today and our own culture. They both give alert us to heed certain warnings in order to prevent destruction, at the same time teaching us how to cause it when needed. We are in an interesting time in this world were many daily events are speeding by us without notice while other have changed us forever. 911 is an example of a recent event that stemmed from a battle that has been raging for a very long time. Sociology and Social Studies help us understand why society does what it does and why it continually occurs.

World History

I taught World History as well as Civics for several years on all levels K-12. And tutored college students in the same type of subjects. I’ve written over seventy-five papers on masters level and fifty on a doctoral level in international politics alone.
