I'm a licensed corporate attorney (barred in NY) with specialized expertise in data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology, and a lifelong educator at heart. I earned my undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary philosophy, complemented by a triple minor in mathematics, biology, and logic & reasoning.
I began tutoring in 2010, working students of all ages, from grade school through adulthood, including those who may have specialized needs for learning as well as preferences for different styles of teaching. My tutoring experience spans a wide range of subjects: foundational mathematics through college-level calculus and math special topics, general academic coursework, standardized tests and professional examinations, including the SAT, ACT, GED, LSAT, and the Universal Bar Exam (UBE), and non-traditional or alternative topics such as functional use of software like Microsoft Office 365 (suite of programs) and professional use of Zoom. I bring both subject-matter depth and an understanding of how students learn best, tailoring each session to the individual's goals, learning styles, education levels, and timelines.
I tutor remotely and am flexible in using either my own materials or resources provided by students. I especially enjoy helping students achieve meaningful milestones like earning a new degree, mastering challenging coursework, improving test performance, or getting ahead in class schedules and textbooks. My approach is supportive, structured, and results-oriented, with an emphasis on building confidence as well as competence.
I strive to make learning accessible, engaging, and effective for every student I work with.
