I hold an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Hollins University (2024, GPA 3.96) and a B.A. in English with a concentration in Literature and a minor in Philosophy and mathematics from Augusta University (2021, GPA 3.78). My academic background reflects both a deep engagement with the humanities and a strong commitment to intellectual rigor and analytical thinking.

I have taught at both the secondary and university levels across disciplines in English and mathematics. I currently teach secondary mathematics at Northside Middle School, where I cultivate inquiry-based learning and integrate technology such as Desmos and IXL to support conceptual understanding. Previously, I taught English Language Arts at Hidden Valley High School, designing curricula that developed analytical writing, interpretation, and rhetorical skill. At Hollins University, I served as both an adjunct instructor and teaching fellow, designing and teaching courses in creative writing and literary analysis. I also worked as a Writing and Research Consultant at Virginia Western Community College, guiding students one-on-one to strengthen their writing and critical thinking.

My experience spans middle school through university-level learners, in both classroom and individualized settings. I’ve taught classes exceeding 100 high school students, small university seminars, and one-on-one tutorials. Across all contexts, I emphasize diagnostic inquiry—identifying how students think, not just what they know—and fostering independence through guided discovery and reflective practice.
