My daughter (11) loves her chess sessions with Zachary! He is a calm and patient presence which is what she needs, and is a great example of good sportsmanship during chess which is rubbing off on her at home (she can get competitive with her sibling). It's fun to see her trying new things every week, she beats us every game so she's happy to have the challenge during her tutoring session. I highly recommend especially with an ADHD child, I can see how chess has been helping her focus and is very calming to her and Zachary is a big part of that as she learns with him. My daughter says "Its great! I really like him teaching me!" when I ask her about her sessions with him.

Great energy and patient
The lesson was a knowledge check with my 6 year old through a game to assess skill level followed by a game review and lesson on principles. They then played a 2nd game in which my son got to implement his learning. My son woke up today wanting to do chess puzzles, so keeping the fun is very important

Very patient an enthusiastic chess coach
My six year old has become very obsessed with chess. We needed to pair her with someone more knowledgeable than us to keep her interested and challenged because our experience with the game was super limited. Zachary is perfect. He keeps her attention for the full hour and mixes strategy with lessons with games and puzzles so there is never a dull moment. He goes along with her lingo, and is patient with her "know it all" personality. Grateful to have found her the perfect chess coach!
