Hello, I am Johnathan F. I am an online teacher and tutor from the town of Henrico, Virginia. My hobbies and personal interests include hiking, traveling, sports, and running. I have a Master’s degree in Geosciences (Geochemistry option) from Montana Technological University, a Bachelor’s in Earth Science (with a double minor in Chemistry and Political Science) from Central Connecticut State University, a 120 hour TEFL Teaching certificate from TEFL UK, and an Advanced TESOL Online Teaching certificate from the TESOL International Association. During my academic studies, I was consistently placed at the top of my class. I earned a 3.95/4.00 GPA in my master’s degree studies where I made the graduate dean’s list several times. As an undergraduate, I successfully completed the Central Connecticut State University Honor’s Program and graduated Cum Laude.
I have about five years of experience teaching and tutoring a variety of age groups. I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) online to Chinese students ranging from age 3 to 14 on the platform VIPKID. I have tutored math, science, and writing both online and offline to a variety of age groups spanning from middle school students to college graduate students. I have tutored graduate college students, undergraduate college students, high school students, and middle school students in science, math, and writing on the online platform Varsity Tutors. I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for undergraduate General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry courses at Montana Technological University.
