Hi! I'm Brianna. I am currently attending Virginia Commonwealth University in my final semester of the Elementary Education and Teaching program. Hi! I'm Brianna. I am currently attending Virginia Commonwealth University in my final semester of the Elementary Education and Teaching program. Upon graduating I will be licensed to teach all elementary grade levels and subjects. During my time at VCU I have completed multiple different elementary level subject-specific classes as well as methodology classes. I have also had an abundance of in-classroom experience working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and as a whole class.

My dream has always been to become a teacher with the hope of making learning fun and attainable for all children. I firmly believe that this starts with the individual providing the lessons and teaching as some of my most memorable moments in school are from teachers that made the learning exciting and interactive. I like to spend the first day of tutoring having fun with the topic. Following the initial breakdown, I like to provide multiple different interactive activities that address your tutoring needs; these activities I like to work on together. Once I see that you are starting to grasp the material, I then like to let you shine and show me your understanding independently; this allows me to provide you with any final comments and get you on your way to being as successful as possible.

One thing that truly makes me happy is seeing the students I have taught become their best and most successful selves. In order for that to happen I believe in the learning process being a partnership in which my students and/or parents of my students have the ability to provide input and suggestions on different resources, methodologies, activities, etc. that work best for you and/or your child. I am currently in my final semester of my education and teaching program before receiving my teaching license. Algebra was one of my favorite subjects when I was in middle and high school, especially because it just came so easily to me. I remember being one of the main students in my class that the teacher would always ask to assist the students in need or who had missed a day because I excelled so well.
Elementary (K-6th)

I am currently enrolled in my final semester of my B.S.Ed program, with a specific focus in Elementary Education. Prior to internship I participated in three different practicum experiences with different veteran teachers of various grade levels. Within all three of those practicums I worked with students in every elementary level subject; a lot of the experiences were working one-on-one with students or working with small groups. My final practicum as well internship have/are providing me with more experience working with a larger amount of students at a time through providing whole group instruction to the whole class.

I am currently an Elementary Education major so I’ve taken multiple courses pertaining to all of the different elementary level classes including math both in just general content and also methodological classes that included many different ways to teach children math through different strategies and approaches. I have also worked in elementary schools for the past 3 years now and have had experience working with lots of different students and learning styles.

I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Science in Education, specifically Elementary Education. I’m currently in my final semester before receiving my teaching license. I have taken a couple different English/Language Arts methodology classes throughout my college career and have also had the opportunity to practice and apply what I have learned in those classes during my practicum experiences. During one of my practicums I worked with one first grade student for the year, designing lessons specifically for English/Language Arts which phonics was included in in order to help get her up to grade level and beyond.

Growing up I have always loved math and excelled quite far. My love for math has given me the ability to give back my wealth of knowledge to students in need. I have completed various different college course levels through my B.S.Ed program which have given me various different tools and strategies to use when teaching students math that I feel would be very useful in my prealgebra tutoring sessions.

I’m currently studying Education and Teaching and have learned many different skills and teaching techniques for various different types of learning styles and personality types. I scored a 1460 on my SAT so I would love to use my knowledge and experience from taking the test to help others prepare.

I am currently an Elementary Education major in my final semester before receiving my teaching license. I have taken various different college courses that cover general reading and language arts content for the elementary level as refreshers as well as more in-depth methodological classes where I have learned so much more about how students learn to read as well as different strategies to teach students this necessary skill. I have also worked in various elementary level classes for the past 3 years. During this time I have spent an immense amount of time teaching students English/Language Arts.

I am currently in my final semester of my Elementary Education program. I have worked in various practicum sim different school settings throughout my college career thus far working with students on all of the different elementary level subjects. I spent one whole year specifically working with things like phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, etc. I have also taken a few English/Language Arts methodology classes where I have learned many different techniques to teaching students these essential things.
