Bakar has helped my son so much in just a few sessions. He's been available on short notice and has been able to tutor my son in all the subjects he needs, which has been a huge plus. He's worked with him on engineering fundamentals, calculus, and econ if he needs it. My son reports that Bakar makes his explanations really clear. I highly recommend Bakar!

Very patient and kind tutor
Bakar B. did a phenomenal job working with me to establish what exactly my problem was with math. I wasn't sure where to begin but he was able to setup tasks that allowed us to reach a conclusion on what exactly I was struggling with. From there he worked with me diligently and made sure to ask if I fully understood what he was teaching me and I did. Unlike teachers at a college or high school, Bakar focuses on the minor details and moves at your own pace no matter how slow or fast that may be. If your hesitant about getting a tutor then Bakar is great as your first one. After he introduced himself we quickly jumped into it with solving some math questions and from there we were already breaking down the problems I had in the past with math. Additionally if you are looking to get tutoring your second, third, or fourth time, regardless of where you are at mathematically he is able to keep up and always offer you information you, yourself do not know. Overall, Bakar B. is a great tutor who offers fantastic help on mathematics. I hope to get tutoring again from him soon.

Bakar tutored my daughter in statistics (she’s taking AP Statistics in high school). She is a teenager and doesn’t say too much, but I gather that the session went well. As her mother who arranged for the session, my dealings with Bakar have been terrific. He’s polite, responsive, professional. We appreciate him very much.

Brilliant and effective tutor
Bakar was able to connect with my frustrated 8th grader and help him with his pre algebra/geometry assignments from the start! He jumped right in to guide when needed but also give a gentle push and encourage what my son already knew. These are all vital factors to success and also traits of an effective teacher. He paid attention to my son’s thought processes when he answered questions which allowed Bakar to establish what his needs were and where explaining was needed. Bakar dropped nuggets of inspiration throughout the lesson that enabled him to connect and actually keep the attention of a 13 year old. He gave tips to help translate the information in the classroom. You can tell he is used to providing differential teaching geared toward the student. It was a productive first session and my unamused preteen son rated him a 50 out of 10!
