Over the past eight years, I have had the privilege of guiding young learners from kindergarten through fifth grade as an educator and long-term substitute teacher with Richmond Public Schools and the Henrico Education Foundation. My educational background includes an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University, where I am currently completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration. This foundation, combined with my extensive classroom experience, allows me to bring structured, clear, and highly organized instruction to every lesson. Whether leading inclusive K–5 classrooms or providing individual instruction, my primary focus is meeting students at their unique skill levels and building the fundamental reading, writing, and math skills they need to thrive.
My teaching methodology centers on making abstract concepts visual, engaging, and practical for young minds. For example, when working with first- and second-grade math students, I incorporate hands-on activities that demonstrate how numbers work in everyday life, turning intimidating math problems into fun, tangible puzzles. In reading and foundational literacy, I use patient, step-by-step guidance to foster phonics mastery, comprehension, and vocabulary development. I strongly believe that early academic success comes from a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate their growth. I also utilize clear communication tools to keep parents informed of their child’s ongoing progress.
Whether your child needs targeted help catching up in elementary math, extra support in reading, or guidance in establishing strong study habits, my goal is to make learning an encouraging and stress-free experience. I tailor every one-on-one session to fit your child’s individual pace and learning style, helping them transform challenges into confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

Bible Studies

# Bible Studies Tutoring — Brave Word Books I provide Bible study instruction focused on helping students understand God’s teachings about wisdom, understanding, faith, and righteous living through scripture. As a confirmed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who attends the Innsbrook Ward, I have studied the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, and the teachings and history of the Prophet Joseph Smith. My first lesson focuses on Proverbs 9:10, **“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,”** and explores what Scripture teaches about developing wisdom and understanding through God. I also independently study Hebrew vocabulary and am currently learning the Hebrew letters, incorporating this interest into my continuing personal study of Scripture and biblical language.
