I am an experienced educator with more than twenty-five years of teaching, coaching, and instructional leadership in K–12 settings. I hold an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Master of Science in Special Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Communications. I am licensed in Virginia with endorsements in English K–12, Special Education K–12, and Administration & Supervision PreK–12.

Throughout my career, I have worked with students from upper elementary through high school in English, reading, writing, Special Education, and academic support. My background includes teaching in traditional classrooms, providing one-on-one and small-group instruction, supporting students in residential programs, and coaching teachers as an Instructional Specialist. I currently serve as an Assistant Principal, where I oversee Special Education services, English Learners, academic departments, intervention planning, and instructional improvement.

I have extensive experience supporting learners with ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, emotional challenges, and students who simply need help building confidence, organization, and academic skills. My tutoring style is patient, structured, and student-centered. I focus on clarity, modeling, guided practice, and building strategies that help students become more independent. Whether your student needs help with reading comprehension, writing, executive functioning, study skills, or understanding classroom expectations, I tailor each session to their unique needs.

My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel supported, capable, and motivated. I look forward to helping your student grow and gain confidence in their abilities.
