I’m a high school math teacher in Richmond, VA, now in my fourth year of teaching AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Precalculus, and Algebra II. I hold a B.S. with double majors in Physics and Mathematics, earned while completing graduate-level research, multiple undergraduate research fellowships, and receiving awards for my work in mathematics. My academic background gives me a deep, practical understanding of advanced math that I bring into every tutoring session.
Before teaching, I spent two years tutoring fellow undergraduates in mathematics and physics, working one-on-one and in small groups. Those early experiences taught me the importance of meeting students where they are — building from their strengths while addressing gaps in understanding. In the classroom, I’ve guided hundreds of high school students to higher grades, stronger test scores, and greater confidence in math.
My approach is clear, structured, and tailored to each student. We focus on understanding the “why” behind the math, developing problem-solving skills, and practicing targeted strategies that work under exam conditions. Whether your goal is to ace the AP exam, improve your grades, or prepare for college-level coursework, I’ll bring the same precision, focus, and drive to our sessions that I bring to every challenge in life (yes, even driving my Camaro).
