As a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University, I am pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained a solid foundation in STEM subjects, particularly in math, computer science, and engineering principles. My strong academic background allows me to break down complex topics in these fields and provide students with a deeper understanding of the material.

I have extensive tutoring and teaching experience, having served as a teaching assistant both at Girls Who Code and within my university. In these roles, I have worked with students from various age groups, helping them to grasp challenging concepts through one-on-one tutoring and group instruction. My approach is centered on student engagement, tailoring each lesson to individual learning styles. I aim to make learning approachable and relatable, connecting classroom concepts to real-world applications. I focus on helping students develop problem-solving skills and build confidence in their abilities, ensuring they not only understand the material but also feel empowered to apply it in various contexts.

In addition to my teaching experience, I am also involved in extracurricular activities, including being part of a competitive dance team and a South Asian a cappella group. These experiences have helped me cultivate strong time management and communication skills, which I bring into my tutoring sessions. I have worked with students of various ages, including high school and college students, and I am comfortable teaching both group sessions and individual lessons. My goal as a tutor is to foster a supportive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to reach their academic goals.
