As an experienced tournament and club player, I have a passion for helping his students reach their chess goals, whether that be helping them along on their road to mastery, or just getting them to a point where they can finally beat their uncle at Thanksgiving.
A typical lesson with me will involve looking at a student's games and highlighting the important ideas and positions that arose. Helping the student understand where things went wrong, or right, while helping to outline the thought process a stronger player might have for working through the positions and potential continuations. Openings, endgames, and tactical patterns will also be covered to the extent as the student's individual needs demand.
Rate: $40 an hour. I teach at my house in Randolph, but can travel to the student lives close enough for an extra fee. Virtual lessons are also available!
