Spanish Tutor with Master’s Degrees in Psychology and Education

I have worked with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds, and I would be happy to be your or your children's Spanish tutor and help you reach your language-learning goals!

I come from a multicultural background. I grew up on the Mexican side of the US border with Mexico. My father is Mexican-American, and my mother is Mexican, so even though Spanish is my first language, I listened to English and was immersed in American culture from the beginning. This unique upbringing has given me a deep understanding of languages and cultures, which is a valuable asset in teaching Spanish. I have lived in the US for over two decades; I love languages and am fully bilingual.

I got a Bachelor of Architecture degree in Mexico, with a GPA of 3.37. I later returned to school for an MEd in Primary Montessori Education, obtaining a GPA of 3.88. I mainly taught Montessori to children from 3 to 6 years of age in a classroom setting, giving one-on-one lessons. I also taught Montessori to elementary children in a classroom setting, giving one-on-one lessons. Moreover, I taught Spanish to children from first to fifth grade for a semester, developing lesson plans, maintaining records, and grading their work. Furthermore, I shared the Latin American culture with them, including traditional festivals and food.

For about four years, I volunteered with a couple of organizations similar to the Peace Corps, where, together with other volunteers, I helped people in need of food and shelter while organizing programs and events for them. More recently, I graduated with an M.S. in Psychology, with a GPA of 3.58, which gave me a deeper understanding of the person and their development across their lifespan.
