I am a highly motivated and progress-focused doctoral student in the field of Behavioral Community Health Psychology. I am a capable and consistent problem-solver skilled at prioritizing and managing projects with proficiency.
In my previous roles, I contributed communication, planning, and leadership toward team efforts and business improvements. I am progressive minded and in tune with new developments in my field. I have proven to be effective and collaborative with strong interpersonal talents. I enjoy collective brainstorming sessions which all me to coordinate activities to achieve a common goal.
Tutoring and mentoring specifically have always been near and dear to my heart. As the oldest sibling in my household it was always my responsibility to help tutor my siblings. When I made it to college, my time in the band as section leader required me to mentor the younger band students and teach them in a way that they understood. Eventually I became a member of Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity to further help the band in all ways. Later, as president of this organization, we began study sessions with the entire band. During this we matched every student up with a senior student in that major, with me leading the psychology group. I have continued tutoring throughout my graduate career as well through mentoring the undergraduate students. I love tutoring because it gives me the ability to directly affect a student's life in a positive way. That light that they get in their eyes when something clicks is the most satisfying feeling in the world.
I have done exemplary in all math courses, receiving A's or B's in all of my college career.
