Hello, my name is Coach Les. I am the father of beautiful daughters and truly enjoy spending time with my family. I have been coaching and teaching since 1996 and continue to grow as an educator daily. My coaching started at Saint Paul's College as the Head Track and Cross Country Coach. I then moved on to teaching in Norfolk Public Schools at Granby High School, teaching Health and Physical education and Coaching basketball and track. I then moved on the Virginia State University as the head track and cross country coach and presently serving as the head basketball and track coach at a high school in Emporia, Virginia.
My teaching philosophy is to educate the entire child. I believe we are made up of a body, mind and spirit and as an educator I need to be able to stimulate all aspects of the child.
Therefore, I take a holistic approach to teaching my students. My experiences range from middle school to collegiate and I feel these experiences have given me an opportunity to grow as a person. I feel I can be of assistance to children in the recreation/sports disciplines.
