I’m a National Board Certified teacher and Harvard-trained education leader with 20+ years designing and delivering high-impact instruction, interventions, and academic coaching. I specialize in elementary literacy, gifted education, and college/career readiness. I have coached applicants through successful applications to many of the most selective colleges and universities in the country. My approach blends data-driven goal setting, differentiated instruction, and family partnership to accelerate progress and sustain academic confidence.

I apply strategic planning and curriculum-focused interventions to support the literacy development of readers and writers at all levels. I create individualized pathways and advanced enrichment for gifted and accelerated learners, and design ESL-endorsed instruction and family engagement materials to support multilingual students.

My teaching blends assessment-driven lesson planning, scaffolded instruction, and culturally responsive practices to meet each student where they are. Sessions focus on clear learning targets, regular progress monitoring, and family check-ins so gains are visible, purposeful, and sustained.

Approved Subjects

CBEST

CBEST

With more than 20 years of experience developing educators and leading large‑scale professional learning initiatives, I bring deep expertise in preparing candidates for success on credentialing assessments. I have guided teachers and teacher candidates to success on the CBEST, CSET Multiple Subjects, CSET Physical Education, CSET English, and NBPTS National Board Certification (All Certificate Areas).
Common Core

Common Core

My work developing educators' implementation of the Common Core State Standards prepared me to provide expert support to students learning the Standards. I provided customized professional development for district leaders, school administrators, and teachers. I prepared educators for the major instructional shifts required by the standards, including increasing text complexity, balancing literary and informational texts, and designing effective text‑dependent questions. I also supported teachers in transitioning to Common Core–aligned mathematics instruction by offering targeted resources, clarifying core content expectations, and guiding teams through stages of professional growth.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

I have extensive experience supporting Elementary Education (Pre K–6) students through my work as a National Board Certified Teacher and early childhood/elementary educator. In my Pre‑K and 3rd‑grade teaching roles, I adapted instruction to meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of young learners while closely monitoring individual student progress and partnering with families on goal setting. In my work with 4th-grade through middle school students, I provided targeted support in reading, writing, mathematics, and science.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have helped students craft powerful, distinctive personal statements that have opened doors to some of the most selective colleges and universities in the country. Through intensive one‑on‑one coaching, I guide students in uncovering the deeper narratives that reflect their resilience, intellectual curiosity, and authentic voice, ensuring that each essay communicates far more than accomplishments alone.
Praxis

Praxis

I have extensive experience helping educator‑candidates prepare for and pass key PRAXIS licensure exams, including the Elementary Education Multiple Subjects assessment (5001), with focused support in Reading/Language Arts (5002/129), Mathematics (5003/139), Social Studies (5004/140), and Science (5005/144). I provide targeted, data‑informed guidance that strengthens content mastery, test‑taking strategies, and candidate confidence across each subtest. I have also supported candidates preparing for the Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) exam. For decades, I have successfully supported teachers pursuing National Board Certification.
