I’m an experienced and passionate art educator with a BFA in Art Education (VCU, May 2025) and additional degrees in business, combining creative expertise with entrepreneurial know-how. For the past 12 years, I’ve worked as a successful creative entrepreneur and seamstress, specializing in custom designs and handmade goods. My experience in the arts is wide-ranging—I work in colored pencil, graphite, acrylic, gouache, mixed media, and textile arts—and I love helping others explore, grow, and find confidence through creative expression.
I’ve taught students from preschool to age 90+, and I believe there’s no wrong age to discover (or rediscover) your creative voice. My teaching experience includes private lessons, community programming, homeschool pods, senior art outreach, and classroom instruction from Pre-K through high school. I tailor each session to the learner’s interests and needs while introducing strong foundations in drawing, design, color theory, texture, and creative thinking. Whether you’re just starting out, preparing a portfolio, or want to try something new in a low-pressure environment, I bring patience, clarity, and enthusiasm to every lesson.
My approach is student-centered, encouraging, and structured enough to build real skills while leaving room for play and curiosity. I love seeing students light up when something clicks, and I strive to create a space where every learner feels safe, seen, and inspired to make art they’re proud of.
