Hello, I am a happy Grandmother with 30 years experience in Teaching Theater Arts, English and Softball and Basketball Coaching. I have travelled a lot to share my talent and have had a positive affect in helping hundreds of children accomplish their dreams and have fun. I have spent hours and hours being a Sponsor for band, cheerleading, B-Boys, theater and drill team.
I earned a 4.0 while achieving a Louisiana Teaching Degree in English, Speech and Drama and Physical Education. You and I will have some wonderful conversations as well as learn how to spell, how to understand what you are reading, and use a vast vocabulary to write papers about it. I am a Grammarian. I know how to properly punctuate and format a research paper. I can also teach you how to write poetry or stand in front of a crowd and not be afraid to speak to them!

I no longer teach in public school. I retired from classroom teaching because I am a grandmother to seven children. I am their Nanna and, as they grow stronger and smarter, they ask me to help them with many of the very important lessons in life that come their way. They talk to me a lot about things they have accomplished and what makes them sad and happy!
I have time for my grandchildren now, but I miss teaching! I get a lot of joy from seeing a student learn how to read, be a better reader and totally get reading! Reading opens doors to the mind. I enjoy seeing the delight on a student’s face when he or she has written, in English, an idea or a poem. I can see their confidence soar and they obtain a feeling of fulfillment. It can be a small idea, or a huge idea, but remember, life is made of small and big journeys, and they will grow wings to fly through life if they enjoy learning. That is what I do. I help students enjoy themselves while they learn!

I love words. I study the origin and use of words. I enjoy teaching students how to spell and speak words. Because I have a degree in Speech and Theatre, I will gently ask students to pay attention to their di

Before being Certified as a Theater and Speech Teacher, It became clear to me in high school that I was a skilled Actor and Director. I directed my first High School Monologue as Blanche on “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, and presented it in front of my peers. I won numerous awards in Acting for Duet Acting and Poetry Interpretation. I continued Acting in Plays through High School and while studying for my Liberal Arts degree —with a Major in Speech and Drama and a Minor in English. Some of the shows I were in, at that time, to name a few I remember, were Fiddler On The Roof, Peter Pan, Cabaret, Anything Goes, and KissMe Kate. This was all before I became involved in Los Angeles in Summer Stock, in 1977, in the show Beatlemania. I have Directed over 20 plays in my lifetime, as a High School Theater Teacher. I cannot even put a number on the many Monologues, Debates, Renaissance Festivals, Speech Tournaments, and Homecoming Programs, including musical numbers, I have been solely responsible for making happen; Hundreds of children’s dreams were realized as my passion for performance became contagious in their life!
