I have been tutoring math professionally for 4 years and have written projects over 30+ pages in MLA, Chicago, and APA formats.
I currently tutor students from 1st-10th grade up through Algebra 2, and occasionally work with older students in Pre-Calculus and Statistics.
I have experience in writing and reviewing all sorts of speeches, but have specific academic achievements in Stoa and NCFCA Speech Rankings in Virginia. In 2017, I was ranked 7th in Open Interp, 24th in Monologue, and 17th in Cold Reading. In 2016, I was ranked 15th in Mars Hill, and 12th in Monologue. In 2014, I was ranked 10th in Humorous Interp.
My key areas of focus with students tend to be building confidence with the subject and having a good attitude even when completing difficult tasks, as I strongly believe in building good character in young people through hard work and positive reinforcement.
