I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and am a Certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with several years of professional experience working directly with children. My academic background focused on child development, learning theory, and behavior analysis, which strongly informs my tutoring approach. I also maintain current CPR/AED/First Aid certification and have specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), executive functioning support, and individualized instruction.
In my professional work, I provide one-on-one academic and skill-based instruction to elementary and middle school students, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. I have experience supporting learners with a wide range of communication styles, including students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. I regularly adapt instruction to meet each student’s cognitive, behavioral, and sensory needs, using structured routines, positive reinforcement, and individualized strategies to promote understanding and independence.
My experience includes one-on-one tutoring, in-home academic support, and classroom-based instruction. I have helped students strengthen foundational math skills, reading comprehension, homework completion, organization, and study habits. My approach is patient, structured, and encouraging, with a strong focus on building both academic skills and self-confidence. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, capable, and understood.
