I am a fourth year medical student pursuing a career as an Anesthesiologist. While I am excelling now, my path to become a physician has been tortuous, and I am grateful for all of the great advice I received from physicians and mentors along the way. I would like to help others similarly, providing academic tutoring for Step 1 or Step 2, career advice and reflection, and application assistance for medical school.

Prior to medical school, I received a B.S. in Neurobiology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and I still enjoy cheering for the Badgers. After that, I obtained my EMT certification and gained employment as an Emergency Room technician in Minnesota. I was unable to gain acceptance to medical school my first attempt, and ended up working in that role for three years. The challenge of applying to medical school more than once was a considerable one for me, but it taught me a lot about what admissions committees do and don't want from their applicants. In my second attempt, I gained acceptance to many medical schools, and ended up moving to Virginia, where I live now. In medical school, I have been very successful, and my study methods have enabled me to live a fulfilling and exciting life outside of the hospital and classroom. I hope that in sharing my methods and the lessons I have learned, I can help others find similar success in any stage of their medical education.
