Hello my name is Teresa! I am a current Honors college student who is a science major. I also have an outstanding gpa of 3.9. I used to not always be highly esteemed in academics, in high school I struggled greatly especially with science. Nonetheless, I had hope in being a great student. I began to seek help from teachers and tutors. If it hadn’t been for those educators in my life, I would not have such a direct path to my future. This is why I want to be a tutor, to help others feel rewarded and to find their purpose. I have tutored in the past already. I tutored at the local community college for a year mainly in chemistry, biology, statistics, anatomy, psychology, and sociology. I have also been in education with younger children at my church I was leader of the homeschool group. I am a highly qualified and motivated tutor.
I am very patient and creative. Math is the most difficult subject for a majority of students and I make it more simplified by translating the math into something more interesting that keeps them engaged and able to relate to the content
