I’m a dedicated math and science tutor with a B.A. in Mathematics and Biology from the Honors College at George Mason University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a 3.98 GPA in Mathematics and a 4.0 GPA in Biology. I’m a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi, and I conducted undergraduate research in the Mason Experimental Geometry Lab. My academic background provides a strong foundation to help students master challenging material with clarity and confidence.
I have several years of experience working with students from Preschool through College, including four years as a substitute teacher (Preschool–12), where I taught in both general and special education classrooms. At GMU, I served as a peer tutor for multiple STEM subjects, with a particular emphasis on Calculus I, Chemistry II, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Biostatistics, and I also tutored elementary students through the Tutors-to-Teachers (T2T) program. Altogether, I’ve spent about a year tutoring in focused, one-on-one settings and love helping students reach their academic goals.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, background knowledge, and goals. I focus on helping students strengthen their understanding, build effective study habits, develop problem-solving strategies, and prepare for exams with confidence. My goal is to help every student succeed in math and science while gaining the skills and self-assurance to become independent learners.
