Hi, I am Suzan! In 2013, I graduated with a B.S. in Biology and minored in German Studies at William and Mary. After college, I pursued and completed a Master's in Genetics at the University of Cambridge. Throughout my experiences in higher education, I enjoyed opportunities to educate others, whether through extracurricular teaching opportunities or participation in conferences. I worked in several virology research labs during and after graduate school, and I began to tutor students in 2016.

I have tutored K-12 in most subjects since 2016. I worked as a tutor at C2 education from the summer of 2018 to the end of 2019. I also have been teaching high school and middle school at Fusion Academy since the beginning of 2019. I can teach most subjects, although I focus on math and science (including AP levels). As a teacher, I have experience working with students with various cognitive and socio-emotional needs (including those with anxiety, autism, and ADHD). I enjoy working with students in a patient and compassionate setting to help them gain confidence in their ability to learn new material. Many of my students have improved their SAT scores by over 100 points after working with me, and many have graduated high school and been accepted into college.

Given the current situation with COVID-19, I am offering tutoring through Wyzant's online platform. Virtual classes have been working very well for my current students. Please let me know your needs, and I will let you know how I can help you succeed!

Suzan was awesome. My daughter has ASD and ADHD. She was struggling with math and chemistry. Suzan worked with my daughter to help her complete math study guide ahead of class schedule. Suzan also clarified challenging chemistry concepts into easily digestible information so my daughter can remember them for her test. We’ll continue to work with her till end of semester to get her grades up.
